Bliss House Theme Resturant [AC 15th Birthday]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELYN!! Hahaha! Sound so crazy telling myself Happy Birthday.... Anw! This is the place I celebrated my birthday at! BLISS HOUSE THEME RESTAURANT~~ I'm like few days late in posting this post!! :P

Actually is just b'day dinner luh... I celebrate with whole family tgt at Christmas party already. :) (will post some pics at the end of this post!) I choose this place because of its garden theme. PRETTY RIGHT? Teehee XD

Bliss House is located at The Central in Clarke Quay. This place is somehow similar to Fullhouse Theme Restaurant.

Caesar Salad With Smoke Salmon [$16]
First of all, I think it is abit over price for a salad. But I really think their smoke salmon is really very yummy. They smoke it very well. :) There's a poach egg on it as well!
Rating: 8/10

Soft-Shell Carb Arabiata [$20]
This was my main course. The tomato sauce was yummy with abit of spicy-ness. Soft shell carb was abit too brown(over fried?) and very little.
Rating: 7.5/10

Pan-Seared Rib-Eye Steak [$32]
My dad ordered this. He chose medium well and it's still super tender!! Quite worth the price! :D
Rating: 8.5/10

Orange Duck Confit [$28]
Not really tender and can't really taste the orange seasoning or in the sause. But the serving just nice, not too filling, not too small. Not too bad overall~
Rating: 7/10

Chicken Roulade [$19]
Chicken leg, butterflied, rolled with mushrooms and wrapped with bacon. My brother said this is very soft and nice. He love their potato wedges as well!
Rating: 8/10

Bacon & Egg Cream brûlée [$9]

Can't really taste the bacon... O.o The caramel crust is very thick n abit burn so it taste a little bitter... Custard was not very soft and abit too sweet. We don't really liked it.
Rating: 5/10

Bread pudding [$10]

Their bread pudding is very nice not too sweet!! A mouthful of warm bread pudding with a spoon of icecream is perfection. Simply love it!! <3 Super yummmyyyy!!
Rating: 9/10

Mock tail of the day [$12]
It's just mehh... My bro said it taste like perfume. (Or should I say smell? Hahaha!)
Rating: 6/10

Overall, I think that this restaurant has a very nice ambience with slightly higher than average standard food but kinda expansive. It would be nice for a mini celebration such as birthday or dating or anniversary. But for me, it's abit over price if I list it in restaurants that I would go at least once a month.

Food Review: Bricks 'N' Cubes + Mini Celebration!

Suppp guyss! We are back again with another blogpost! ^^ Today's blog post is going to be really special because this post is going to be about our trip to Brick"N"Cubes Cafe that Sheryl planned to go to celebrate Angelyn's 15 birthday! :D (Birthday song playing in the background haha XD) and we must said this is also a must go place in your list!! So letss start start start!~

Bricks"N"Cubes Cafe is a pretty styled cafe that is styled with logo(s) and bricks that is located at The Cathay Singapore where it is not only pretty styled, it also uses high-technology for us to order our meal in their cafe. (Pretty cool isn't it? We also think so too haha :D) You guys must be thinking why Sheryl chooses Bricks"N"Cubes cafe right? Well because Angelyn favourite is waffles, cakes and cool places so decided to go this cool place that Sheryl have found! And we both liked this place alot! :) This cafe do sell varieties of waffles, cakes and drinks that is nice and at a quite reasonable prices too! We ordered 1 waffle and 1 cake that day where we are going into details next! :D

Yup you saw the IPad on the table and you guess it, this cafe uses IPAD to take order! Cool or what?!

Marble Cheese Cake
Price: $6.00

Note:You can also play games that are installed in the IPad while waiting for your order to be serve to you! Super duper cool we swear!!

This cake is our favorite and we recommend you guys to try it when you visit this cafe cause it is like omg super nice la!! It is very crumby when you see it but once you put it in your mouth, it become very smooth and super flavorful! (The taste to us la is like super duper awesome, words can't  describe and we swear you will want to order or just go visit the cafe again just to eat this cake! haha *write until abit dramatic but haha for us la, that's what we think*B)) We also think it will be best if there is more digestive biscuit because if you guys have read our previous blogpost, we love digestive biscuit alot haha :) (if you guys also love digestive biscuit like us then HIGH-5, you will also think this way when you tired it or maybe not? hahaah :D)

Rating: 8~8.5/10 (Angelyn and Sheryl)

Rainbow O MY REO
Price: $12.20

This order is from "Bricks Special" We must said they do gave a every generous amount of ice-cream together with the waffle and toppings (Until we cannot even finish it haha XD) To us we think the combination of all the toppings, waffle and ice-cream make it taste really refreshing and flavorable but we do recommend you to add some topping if you did not order it from the "Bricks Special" as their waffle is less sweet then the waffles we taste/out there (For us only la but if you like less sweet waffle then well what are you waiting for? Go try it! :D) Overall it is still very nice and very affordable with the amount they serve you!

Rating: 8/10 (Angelyn and Sheryl)

Overview: Overall we think that Bricks"N"Cubes have its pros and cons. The pros is that we think that is is a really cool and interesting place to go, we mean where can you find any cafe that uses IPad to take order and the cafe is styled with logo(s) and bricks?? Also the waffles, cakes there are pretty affordable and reasonable on the amount they serve you!

We also think that this is a great place for logo(s) lovers, small gathering, celebrate birthday, all ages etc etc (FYI, they do have a small corner where kids or teenagers (aiya all ages also can cause nobody is too young for that don't you think? haha :B) can play with logos they have there and all we can said is that you will never get bored there! :D

But for the cons is that we think that there is slightly abit bad in services like what we experience is that when we haven't finish our meal yet they already told us to go and make our bill, that to us is like actually telling us to leave already or something? (note: for us only la what we think)

Food Review: Maple N Market

Sup guys! We are back again with another new blogpost! :D So today post is going to be about fooodsss, yup you know it from this post you are going to have to go to this must go place! So lets not wait and start reading ! AHH GOOGOOO GOOOO~

This is the block the cafe/bakery is located! :D

Maple N Market is a pretty styled cafe/bakery that is located near Dakota MRT station that require a short 10 min walk to reach there! The cafe there do sell varieties of cakes, drinks etc that are acceptable with very reasonable price too! We tried 2 Cakes and a cup of Coffee that day when we visited which we will go into detail in a bits! :)

Caramel Popcorn Cake
Price: $5.50

It is really moist, not really sweet and the taste is just right! The cream of the cake have a light caramel taste and together with the cake, it is totally very refreshing and we swear once you eat it you want to order it again! (that's what happen to us hahah :B) Overall we think this cake is a must try when you visit Maple N Market because of its unique and delicious! (This is both of our favorite out of the two cake we tried! B))

Rating: 8.5/10 (Angelyn and Sheryl)

Victorian Sponge
Price: $5.00

Note: The Name Card is not Maple N Market Name Card! (It is just to make the picture nicer. LOL we know hahah :P)

This cake is abit dry and the cream on the cake is not smooth enough. For most we think this cake taste like normal fruit cake so it is really nothing special (if you have the same thoughts as us mean you are not alone yo, we have the same taste! :P hahah) But afterall we still think it is nice on average la!

Rating: 6.5/10 (Angelyn and Sheryl)

Ice Americano
Price: $3.80

As for this, both of us who are not pro coffee drinker, we think that this coffee is very bitter and we didn't really like it. We added lots of sugar in it. You guys reading this must be thinking since we are not pro coffee drinker why do we order this drink out of all the drinks in the cafe? Well, because we saw in many drama, all the actors said it taste really nice and Sheryl wanted to try it too so we end up ordering it which we didn't know it will taste that bitter :/ (but if you are a pro coffee drinkers or you like to drink Ice Americano well we guess this is the best drink for you? or if you not pro coffee drinkers like us no worry's there are other drinks in the cafe you can choose from! :D)

Rating: 5.5~6/10 (Angelyn and Sheryl)

Overview: Overall, both of us think that Maple N Market is still a worth going place as the cakes there are not really expensive and are at really reasonable price! And the place is really pretty styled so we think that you can go there and relax yourself and eat some cakes or short meet up with your friends to catch up with each other!^^ (FYI this cafe is rather abit small in size so we don't really encourage big groups! :))  oh and they do have baking lesson where you can attend! if you are interested in baking well here is the place for you! :D

Trip to Jurong Bird Park

Yo yo everyone! We are back again and this time it's going to be all about our trip to Jurong Bird Park! :D Does this somehow bring back some of your childhood memories that you went there with your Family, Kindergarden or Primary school when you are much younger? :D You must be wondering why we went to Jurong Bird Park right? Well, this is because Sheryl won herself a pair of ticket from a lucky draw so we decided to go and explore since we haven't be there for ages! And of course we took lots of photo so we decided why not post it on our blog and share our experience there with you guys! Teehee :D So let START START START~!

Just a little history about Jurong Bird Park:
Jurong Bird Park is known as a tourist attraction in Singapore that is managed by the Wildlife Reserves Singapore that is a landscaped park that is being built on the western slope of Jurong Hill which is located within Boon Lay Planning area of the Jurong district. (Yes, we copied that from wiki.... *give credit*)

So both of us meet at 9.30am early in the morning to get to Jurong Bird Park. It is really very easy to get there but very time consuming, you just need to take to Boo Lay MRT station and take one stop from bus 251 or 194 from Boo Lay Bus Interchange (to be more extract it is inside Jurong Point shopping mall) and you are there already! Easy isn't it?

We finally arrived at Jurong Bird Park after about 45min-1hour of travelling (Yesh, we know it is super long but it really depend on where you stay!) and we started our whole day trip there!

(Note: We are not going exactly going to state the whole places we went at the bird park because it's going to be a super long post about it and we do not want to sound long winded. And, not only people will get bored, we will get bored too! HAHAHA! >< )

First stop we went to the Penguin Coast. In the Penguin Coast there are four types of different species of penguin (The Humboldt, Rockhopper, Macaroni and King Penguin) that all are being put together in the same place but is clearing arrange in the different types of species they are from. Outside the enclosure, there is also another type of penguin called the African Penguins also known as the Jackass Penguin which are able to adapt to the hot weather. (Super COOL isn't it? we didn't even know there is penguin that can live under the hot weather in singapore!)

Next we went to watch the High Flyer Show which we are able to see super cool performance from different types of birds that is being highly trained by the keepers in the bird park and lets us tell you, this is a totally must go performance show when you visit here! During the show, Angelyn really wanted to participate in one of the tricks but due to us sitting in front she didn't get the chance so is quite disappointing~ (so let us give you a tip, if you really want to tried out the tricks, you better sit behind! because they usually call from the behind from what we observe. :D)

Moving on, we went to the Lory Loft where we can get to interact and get up close with the birds in there! We both fall in love with this place as we get to feed the bird. You just simply have to buy the food at $3 each cup. To us this is like the most experience place we went out of all the places in the bird park even though we are somehow scared of bird... :D

I was scared to death when the lorry jumped onto my hand man!! [Angelyn]
After that we went to the World tallest man-made waterfall to take a look at it (not sure whether it is world tallest through :?) well we can say that this is the second place we like the most because the view in here is totally no joke and the concept of this place is really beautiful.

Yellow-Billed Stock

Just nice it's 2pm and we went for the Pelican Chit Chat Session! (FYI even though it stated that it is the Pelican Chit Chat Session, the Pelican doesn't chit chat with you! Hahaha! XD) During this session the trainer in the bird park will tell us facts about the pelicans and give us question to win prizes!

Thanks to Angelyn who answered a question thats being asked, we get to feed the pelicans for free! (if you want to feed them you need buy the fish at $2 per pack!) This means that Angelyn have been listening to the trainer explanation *CLAPSS FOR HER PEOPLE HAHA* (*er hum* The Jurong Bird Park has 7 out of 8 species of pelicans in the world! Their beak can hold up to 13L of water and only the brown pelicans can dive etc.. HAHA That's all Angelyn can remembered)

We end off our trip with a late lunch at Bongo Burgers, one of the food restaurant in the bird park! We went there because we through this place is very detailed and super cool as there are animal style chairs that we are in love with!! (very childish I know but can't help >< if you visit this restaurant you may have the same reaction as us or maybe not? hahaha :D) but the price of the food is really not that pretty ~
Jumbo Fish Burger
Price: $13.90
Rating: 6.5/10

Chicken Sausage Spaghetti
Price: $12.90
Rating: 7/10

Mushroom Soup
Price: $5.90
Rating: 8/10

Overview: Overall we think that Jurong Bird Park is definitely a place you can go, explore and get to know the different types of birds that you didn't even know it exist (Like us) and gain some extra knowledge! It is also a place where you can hang out and spend a wonderful time with your family and friend when you visit here like us who have great time here too! ^^
