Food Review: Shop Wonderland Cafe

SUP guys! Its has been a long time since our last update before we went MIA right? Super super super sorry about it because both of us are busy preparing for our up coming O's and N's level which explain the reason why we are not updating after so long. And today we are back again with a new blogpost so let not wait and get started! ^^

As you guys know, Haji Lane is a hipster street filled with lots of fashionable clothing shops and accessories. But in recent years, more and more cafes are appearing in that area too which caught our attention! *grin*

During our trip there, we went to try out Shop Wonderland Cafe which is mixture of a cafe *The pantry* on level 1 and a shop/workshop area on level 2 where you can shop there and eat there well you like. It is also a very pretty style cafe with a bit of vintage kind of look, we're sure that you guys will surely notice this cute eye-catching cafe while shopping in that area. ^^

Look at those cute pineapples! *.*

Also Shop Wonderland Cafe got their cakes from Maple and Market CLICK HERE ( which we blogged about it previously, click on the link to read it! :D) and pastries from carpenter and cook. Hence in just one location you can get to try the food from 2 different cafes.

Green Banana Cake
Price: $7.60

This is our favorite cake! It is not too sweet nor has strong taste of the banana. It tasted really light and fluffy which make us want to eat another one!! Hahaha XD Many people bought this cake when they visited the cafe so we strongly recommend you to try it too! You may think that $7.60 for a piece of cake is abit over priced but we double confirm plus crop that you will love it just like us! haha :D

Rating: 9/10

Iced Chocolate and Iced Mocha
Price: $7.60

Both of us think that the iced chocolate is still okay but sadly there is nothing special about it, it just taste like normal chocolate drink that we can have outside and it is not really worth the price too. :( As for the iced mocha both of us think it is not really to our liking because it is really bitter even though we mixed it with the ice-cream it came with, so we don't really recommend you guys to try it if you're not a fan of bitter drinks. ^^

Rating 5/10

Rose Cake
Price: $7.60

The rose cake itself taste rather normal pretty much not from what we expected it to be as we thought it will have some rose taste but nahhh... We didn't get to taste any of the rose flavor instead is tasted abit sour... *sour face* and it make our throat really uncomfortable (for us). In conclusion, not fan of sour = don't order :) *but we really don't recommend it*

Rating: 6/10

Red Velvet Cake
Price: $7.60

This Red Velvet Cake taste not too bad, it is very moist and not too sweet. Together with the cream cheese, it taste just right for us. You sure won't get sick of it after a few bites. What both of us like about this is that the cream is very smooth and silky!! Most importantly, MOIST CAKE = GOOD CAKE. We do recommend you guys to try this too! :D

Rating: 8/10

Overview: In a nut shell, both of us still think Shop Wonderland Cafe is still a worthy place to go. Firstly, you can shop at their shop at level 2 before you eat or after you eat. Secondly, even though the price stated for the cakes and drinks are pretty expensive but what can we said, this shop consist of foods from different cafe which save your time from traveling! *thats killing 2 bird with 1 stone* :D Lastly to double combo, the cafe have free wifi too (yesh we said it FREE WIFI) where both of us think that you can go there to do project with your friends, small gathering/meet ups or to grab a small bite when you get tired shopping ^^

Food Review: Cottage Pies Cafe

Yo whatupss guys! We are finally back with another new blogpost :D Do you guys here like pastries alot like we do? If you do then you will super love this place we are going to write about ^^ So lets not wait and get started~~
(EXTRA: After this we going write and tell you guys about our failed trip hunting for "Singapore's Blooms"haha XD)

Cottage Pies Cafe is a cute little styled cottage theme cafe that is located at White Sand Shopping Mall at Pasir Ris, not only is it designed in a cottage theme it is also somehow vintage and most of the furniture there are made of wood which make the appearance of the cafe super pretty and also talking about their foods, it's also nice overall and at a super affordable price!! XD

Yes, you see it, isn't the price affordable?

We ordered Chicken Mushroom Pie, Potato Chicken Pie, Banana Roll and Oreo Premium Cheese Cake which we will go into detail in abit! :D

Chicken Mushroom Pie
Price: $2
Note: The square one is Chicken Mushroom Pie!
Both of us liked this one alot because it is really really tasty. The pastry is very flaky with a buttery taste. It is just prefect, and the filling inside is very pleasant too! With the price of $2, this is totally worth it~  (Both of us highly recommend you guys to try this when visit here, must uh! <3)

Rating:8.5/10

Chicken Potato Pie
Price: $2

This pie consist of creamy mash potato, chicken bites, small cubes of carrot and peas. The pie together with the filling itself is not really salty and with the hint of pepper taste. Both of us think it is really tasty and nice. (We do suggest you guys to share this with your friend if you are not really a fan of potato like us because both of us think if you eat this alone, after awhile you will have a feeling of "don't want to eat it already de feeling la" just what we think~~ haha XD)

Rating: 7.5/10

Banana Roll
Price: $1

Ordered this banana roll because we tot it is really cool, we mean where can you find banana that come with flaky pie right, so we decided to tried it! But it taste weird... (the banana does not taste like those in goreng pisang) :(

Rating: 4.5/10

Oreo Perineum Cheese Cake
Price: $3.90

Last but not least, some dessert *woohooo* we ordered this dessert that is not love at first sight because of it appearance. But still not bad luh~ HAHA What do you expect for a $3.90 cake? However, both of us didn't like the fact that bottom part the cake is not biscuit but it just cheese cake with more cocoa powder. Overall is good though! (cannot expect starbuck standard marh~ *best cheesecake there* haha :))

Rating: 6.5/10

Overview: Overall we both think this is a place when you can go have tea break, meeting with friends or just grab some snacks with their yummy pastries when you pass by. Quite affordable price they have there. XD Also their good services because when both of us was given the wrong order we want, they changed for us without saying a word and even apologizes to us and refund us the money we paid extra. (As for us, we know of some shop that wouldn't do that :/)

SO its time for our failed trip hunting for "Singapore blooms" story hahaha XD

As you guys know or heard people saying that Singapore flowers started to blooms and we also saw other instagram-ers posting about it so both of us wanted to check it out and bang we did it! Hahaha

The place we visited is at Pasir Ris Park and I guess both of us didn't have the luck to see it cause when we reach, most of the flower have fallen or gone or rotten and only have a few fallen on the ground which still have colour on it.... (WHY OH WHY? :(() so we guess we are pretty unlucky. But we still took some pretty shot with those flower which have just bloomed. Those shot come with prizes of 20plus insects bites on our legss (OMG *SCREAMING EMOJI* INSERTED)

So here is the end product TADAHH:

Those are not the flowers we want.... :(

Some picture taken near the beach too~~

Afterall we will pretty disappointed and sad that Singapore's bloom only lasted for a week and we didn't get to see those beautiful flower, so we must said lesson learned during this trip : GO IMMIDIATELY!

Okay, we have come to the end of our blogpost! ^^ Hope you guys have a great weekend ahead! Also Thank you to those who read our blog and those who just started reading!:D Until then see you in the next post! Happy Easter yo!! (BYE, WAVE AND BOW *^^*)

Travel: Tokyo Japan Trip Part 1

Hello everyone!! And woohoo!! Finally got to  blog about this trip! Hahaha! Always reading what other bloggers blog about their holidays and I've always wanted to do one myself too! So here is it~~ [There'll be 3 parts as I don't want to squeeze all pictures into 1 post or else it's gonna be super long XD]

DAY 1:

I'm so excited!! But our flight is at 11pm  and I don't really like midnight flight because I can't seem to fall asleep although I'm super tired!! :( In the end, I only get about less than 1hour of sleep? HAHAHA! Not kidding.

That's my breakfast in the plane btw!!

After reaching Nagoya Airport, meet our tour guide and all the stuff, we went to Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street(they are side by side) which is our first stop of the trip! Not really interested in praying actually~ (I'm more interested in the food!!)

Sorry this picture is abit blur but I really love the bright colour!

We had our lunch at this restaurant. Though the interior and exterior look super pretty, their food is just mehh.... :/
Rating: 6.5/10

Bought this red bean bread thingy [¥100/SGD$1.20], matcha ice-cream [¥300/SGD$3.50] and dango [¥150/SGD$2]! Their snacks are super yummy! But quite expansive as well.... Hahah! Worth it though! (y)

Yummmmm~~

Btw, my #ootd for that day! ^^

Next, we went to the imperial palace. I think it's kinda useless as we only get to take picture from the outside/at the gate and it's like super far away from the palace.

But the surrounding is really damn pretty! Cuz they say it's near the palace so everything got to be pretty~~ HAHAHA! XD

After this, we stop by Tokyo Tower to snap afew picture with it! :)

Then, we went to Shinjuku Ginza. It is like our orchard road in Japan~ Hehe! All branded and expansive... I bought a mash outer wear from H&M and a tee shirt! Hahaha have to buy a tee shirt because although it's winter, there's still sun and it's kinda hot....

We end off our day at a buffet dinner at Yakiniku! Rating: 7/10 (not very wide varieties of food)

DAY 2:

It's Mount Fuji day!! The weather that day is super good so we're able to see the whole mountain! Our tour guide told us only 1/3 of the chance we're able to see it! :D

Our breakfast was settled in our hotel. Not bad! And I tried their fermented beans!! Hahaha (no offense) It taste like what others said: vomit. I thought I will like it cuz I have a unique taste bud.... Some Japanese may say this bean is awesome but it's just like us loving durians right? ^^

Otw there, we stop by a Japanese restaurant for lunch! Additionally, my mum ordered a "sashimi fish boat"[¥13000/SGD$160] because my family is a fan of sashimi! I swear it's super fresh! Even ppl like me dare to eat! (I don't like raw stuff) Rating: 9/10

Was wearing leather jacket before reaching Mt Fuji~

Upon reaching Mt.Fuji, we went to their museum!! It told us the history of it and we can buy some sovenior there! Although there's sovenior shop on the mountain too~~ ^^

Finally! We reached the 5th station of the mountain that is the highest place a car can travel! ^^ The temperature is -4*C. My family and I are all freezing as yesterday is kinda "hot" so we wear thinner clothes today....

We fight the cold and took lots of photo as I don't think we will come back to Japan so soon! :(

We bought kitkat, Mt Fuji bread and some corn!! I even buy their water that said to be from their melted ice!! :D

The bread that is shaped like Mount Fuji! Very soft! But I don't really like the cocoa powder on top as it's too thick.... (Bitter ><) but for photo effect, it's worth it~ :D

After this, we went to the second hotel we will be staying at! There's onsen facilities here~ :D When we went in, there's no one inside so we are super happy! (Cuz no clothes is allowed in the tub.... >< )

And they provide FREE ice-candy in their souvenir shop!!

I also get to wear a Japanese yukata because they provide it in their hotel!! I really love it~~ it's so pretty and the blue coat is super special!! We can keep things inside as the sleeve is very big!! :D

Taken at a garden near the hotel!

This hotel's dinner buffet is daebak! They do not have quantity but they have quality! I ate 5 cream puff.... ^^
Rating: 9/10

Okay! This is the end of my part 1 Japan trip!! I hope you enjoyed reading and do look out for the next 2 parts!! Will feature places like Sanrio PuroLand, Disney Land and Disney Sea!! :D BYE!!
